Our Humble Beginning
The journey of Kusumai Products started in 1985 when Mr. Sahebrao Pawar and his five brothers came together with a shared vision and determination to build a sustainable livelihood. In challenging circumstances, they established a home-based incense stick manufacturing business, driven by hard work, dedication, and strong family values.
From the very beginning, the business was not only about manufacturing incense sticks but also about creating opportunities for the local community. Women from nearby villages were provided with work-from-home employment, enabling them to earn a stable income while supporting their families.
During those early years, the Pawar brothers personally travelled from village to village, selling their handmade incense sticks through weekly markets and handcarts. Their perseverance and commitment laid the foundation of what would later become a respected brand.
Behind this inspiring journey stood the unwavering support and blessings of their parents, Mrs. Kusumai Pawar and Mr. Vasantrao Pawar. Their guidance, values, and encouragement became the driving force behind the family’s entrepreneurial success.
The Next Generation & Brand Transformation
As times changed, so did the vision for the business. In 2017, the next generation stepped forward to continue the legacy. Until then, the company primarily focused on the sale of loose incense sticks. However, with modern thinking and a clear vision for growth, a transformation was initiated to build a recognized and trusted brand.
In 2018, the company was officially established under the name Kusumai Products, lovingly named in honor of Mrs. Kusumai Pawar. The brand was created to preserve her values, dedication, and the spirit that inspired the family’s entrepreneurial journey.
This marked the beginning of a new chapter focused on product innovation, quality enhancement, and market expansion.
